最近はなんだかScrap the Planetなのか、SNAP the Planetなのか、自分達でもよくわからなくなってしまっています～！でも、私たちは皆さんのフレンド、T-Bag and D-Cup (夢ですねぇ・・)です。 Hayley がそう呼ぶんです。そんな私たちは皆さんにお会いできず、寂しい思いをしています。 クラフトをしたり、写真を撮ったり、まだ山に登っていたり・・・そして早く皆さんにお目にかかりたいと思っていたり・・。私たちのフォトサービスについてお問い合わせいただき、ありがとうございます。

現在セッションと加工サービスの予約受付中。ホットなプロジェクト進行中 。人生は短いのです。写真を撮りましょう。そして、それらをクリエイトして、つくって、飾りましょう。

In other news...Meganと、彼女のマタニティライフシリーズです。世界にごあいさつ！はじめまして、Harriet。シー、今内緒で、彼女にもかわいいアルバムを作成中なんです。MeegyにはベビーフレームコレクションプレベイビーのTokyo-BUMPショットも含んだものを作りました。それから病院シリーズ、おじいちゃ、おばあちゃんとのスペシャルなご対面も！

 

そして、Traceの最高のもの、未だに私たちをノックアウトしてしまうエネルギーとゴージャスさ。7月には水着を着て、日本で初レースにも参加します。もうすぐです。サポートチームのメンバーになってくださる方はDeeとビーチで会いましょう！デックチェアーに座って、できたらカクテル片手に・・・水には入らず、水辺で・・・

Hi STP friends! Summer’s on the way! Whew, hot stuff happening round here. Not sure whether we are Scrap the Planet or more recently SNAP the Planet right now! Whoever we are your friends T-Bag and D-Cup (what a dream…), as Hayley calls us, are still right here…missing you all, getting crafty, taking photies, still climbing mountains and hoping to see you all soon.  Thanks to all our many STP friends who have contacted us about our photographic services. We are now taking session bookings and proofing orders.  Get those HOT projects underway. Life is short. Take a picture. Then do what you do with it…create, make, display.

Photography brought us to scrapbooking and scrapbooking gave us the chance to connect with Japan on such a wonderful scale – more than we ever expected; whether it be people, places or opportunities. So we are so delighted to be going down this road, cameras ON. Almost full circle for us. Taking it step by step.

• We have several packages available. All include a CD with your photos, so you can print and create, scrap, decorate, display them however you like.
• We offer options for additional contemporary Photo Books, and printing services.
• We love PHOTOGRAPHY and catching those beautiful moments for you. We love it if you bring favorite toys, props, ideas and an open mind to the shoot. Oh yeah, and big sparkly smiles!
• We don’t mind at all if you want to take some photos on your own camera during the shoot.

For our Proofing services, same deal…simply shoot us an email and we’ll send you all the info in a PDF file plus the order form. We’ve developed this Proofing system primarily in response to our many scrapbooking, craft and altered art friends here in Japan who produce such beautiful, high quality projects. Finally ALL your photos, not just those from a studio session, can be as stunning and as professional looking as your projects.

Color. Black and White. Modern. Classic. You pick. We do a basic fix on your photo; adjust colors, levels, curves and crop. We then add one of our fabulous, rock star super secret formulas if we think your pic needs it. We proof your photo 2 ways. Get a color version. Get a b&w version. Or how about something cross-processed or vintage? You choose from our current “looks”.

It’s the perfect alternative to booking a session. Simply keep a folder on your pc desktop, over time add the special photos you want worked on. Then send them to us, we’ll proof them, send them back and viola! – your very own digital photo session.

We did a maternity series for her. Hello world. Harriet Here.  Shhh….we are also making her a lovely album. For Meegy we did The Baby Frames Collection which included a pre-baby Tokyo-BUMP shoot, then a series in the hospital, plus a super special meeting Grandma and Grandpa. Will post more pics later.

And also above you'll see Trace looking all fab, still knocking us out with her energy and general gorgeousness. She’s about to do her first open water swim here in Japan in July. If anyone wants to be a part of the support team, just meet Dee at the beach. She’ll be the one with a deck chair and possibly a cocktail…and going nowhere near the water…

So we would love to extend all this photo funness to our many friends everywhere. Time for a little CONTEST of sorts. Simply leave us a little comment here on the blog. Back and ready to scrap!

皆さん、こんにちは!　スクラップするのに十分な、エンドレスなストーリーと、写真とともに戻ってきましたよ～!!! Trailwalker は私たちが計画した通りにはいきませんでした。普通ではない、特別なチームという状況の中、出来る限りのことをし、最善を尽くしましたが、メンバーのうちの二人が負傷し、悩みに悩んだ末にCP6でリタイアするという苦渋の決断をしたのです。Natの足は靴ずれを起こし、激しい苦痛に悲鳴を上げていました。 Nessの足もくつづれをしていました。そこでチームとして潔く、やめることにしたのです。正しい決断だったと思います。私たちはチームとしてスタートし、チームで終えたのです。63.5kmの道のりをNessをガイドしながら進んだのです。涙あり、悲劇あり、コメディあり、衝突もあり、ドラマもあり、ハイな時も、落ち込んだ時もありました。沢山すぎる食べ物、スゴイ髪型に荷物、全てをカバーし、そして・・・・・この壮大な、詳しい話はTRAILWALKER BLOGに書き終えています。もしお時間がありましたら、トレイルウォーカーのブログも覗いてみてください。こちらはすべて英語です－沢山の日本のお友達の皆さんには申し訳ありません・・・でも、勉強と思って読んでみてくださいね！Harumiに翻訳をしてもらうのは申し訳なくて・・・（一応、訳そうか？って聞いたんだけど・・あっちのブログは初めからすべて英語のままということで、そのままにさせていただきましたのであしからず・・＾＾； ちなみに長いです～・・・by Harumi）

Hi all! We're BACK with endless stories and photos ready to SCRAP!!! Our Trailwalker experience didn't quite go as we had planned.We did our very best, in our rather unique situation but due to injury for 2 members we heartbreakingly decided to retire at CP6. Nat's feet riddled with blisters, screaming in agony. Ness's feet and legs also having a blister and aliment party. So as a team we decided to bow out gracefully. It was the right thing for us to do. We started as a team and finished as a team. We completed 63.5km all the while guiding Ness. There were tears, tragedy, comedy, collisions, drama, highs and lows, way too much food, bad hair & baggage, we covered it all and then some…I've just finished writing the epic recount on our TRAILWALKER BLOG... Please take a look if you have time...it's all in English -so sorry for our many Japanese friends...but please use it as a study tool! There's no way we could make Harumi translate...

その間に、私たちの沢山の思い出の写真をお楽しみください・・・。素晴らしいSTPフレンドの皆さん、サポーターの皆さん、 TrailwalkerJapanファンの皆さん、そして家族全員に、心からありがとうをいわせてください。皆さんがいなかったら、決してできなかったことです。私たちの小さなチームは Oxfamへ147,190円寄付することができました。171チームが参加し、103チームが100kmを48時間で完歩しました。そして、・・・信じられないことですが、一等賞のチームは、なんと15時間で完歩したのですって！信じられますか?? たくさんの寄付と、あたたかいメッセージ、　eメール、素晴らしい励ましをありがとうございました。来年が待ち遠しい・・・今度は何チームか一緒にやってみたいなあ・・・トレーニングをはじめないとね…

In the meantime enjoy some of our many memories in photos...Thank you so much to our wonderful STP friends, supporters, Trailwalker Japan fans and families. We couldn't have done this without you. So far our little team has raised 147,190yen for Oxfam.In all 171 teams took part and 103 teams completed the full 100km within 48 hours. And...get ready for this...unbelievably the winning team finished in 15 hours...incredible! Thank you truly  for your very generous donations, beautiful messages, emails and fabulous encouragement. Can't wait for next year...we'd love to get a few teams together...let the training begin...

100k's...here we go!

STP gangの皆さん、こんにちは！いよいよあと1晩寝たら、しばらくの間は眠らない時間を過ごします。明日の朝9時には100kmの狂気の道のりを 行く私たちのOxfam Trailwalker Japan 09クエスト（冒険の旅）がスタートです。チェックインをして、沢山の STP フレンドの皆さんに、カスタマーであり、私たちをサポートしてくれる皆さんに、ありがとうを伝えたい。皆さんからのEメールや、沢山の寄付、そして沢山の励ましを、本当にありがとうございます！みなさんなくして、今回のことは成しえません！

Hi STP gang! 1 more sleep and we won't be sleeping for quite some time. 9am tomorrow we start the 100km of madness in our Oxfam Trailwalker Japan 09 quest. Just wanted to check in and THANK our many STP friends, customers and supporters  SO MUCH for all your kind emails, very generous donations and for all your encouragement as we take on this adventure. Thank you so much! We couldn't have done this without you!

Based on our hopelessly slow pace we are aiming to finish 2am Sunday morning (final time limit is 9am).Then it's party time! そう、これは　メガブログになりそうです（長～いってこと！）・・！私たちのニュースをぜ～んぶご報告いたします・・定期的にアップするのに十分な時間はとてもじゃないけどなくて・・・。さぁ始まりますよ！皆さんが元気で、ハッピーで、今年の素晴らしい桜の花を満喫されたのならいいなあ～と思います。本当に綺麗でしたね！春休みのミニ写真館をお楽しみくださいね。

Hello STP Friends!
Ok…this could be a MEGA BLOG! We’ve kinda been saving up all our news…and then there’s never enough hours in the day to post more regularly. So here we go! Hope everyone is well, happy and got a delicious fix of those gorgeous blossoms this year. Loved them. Took a little time over Spring Break for a mini-photo shoot!

沢山のニュースと出来事があります。ちょっと落ち着いて、コーヒーでも飲みながらお話ししましょう・・（最新のニュースレターをご覧頂いた方には、だいたい同じ内容になっていますよ!!!）

Lots of news and lots going on around here. Sit back, grab a coffee and we’ll give you the run-down…(If you have seen our most recent newsletter then this bit’s almost the same!!!)

変化し、成長し、そして新しいことが始まる時期です。私たちもSTPとその他に私たちの興味のあることを、新しい方向性に向けていく準備ができたと思います。チャンスはおのずとやってきます。今こそ、それをつかむ時なのです。グッドチャレンジが好きで す。だから私たちは始めるのです。・・・私たちは、私たちの小さなハッピーなお店が大好きです。美しいSBグッズも大好きです。でも、今、前に踏み出して いく時なのです。・・そして4月末にはSTPのお店をクローズし、スクラップブッキングを写真のサイドにフォーカスし、その他いくつかの楽しいクリエイ ティブなプロジェクトとイベントに焦点をあていきたいと思います。そして、何をするのであれ、遊び心をもって、人生を愛するいつもの私たち自身の STPス タイルでいきたいと思います！

It’s a time of change and growth and new beginnings and so we find ourselves ready to take STP and our other interests in a new direction. Opportunities have presented themselves, so now is the time to grab them. We love a good challenge. So here we go…We love our happy little store and all those beautiful SB goods but now it’s time to move forward. To go where others aren’t necessarily…So from the end of April we will be closing the STP shop and focusing more on the photography side of scrapbooking and some other very happy, creative projects & events. And as always bringing our own STP style, sense of fun and love of life to whatever we do!

どうしてこの決断をしたか?少し説明させてください。・・私たちは、私たちの小さなSTPの お店が大好きで した。けれどライフスタイルに関して言えば、私たちのビジネスと才能に目を向け、別の方向に進んでいこうと決心させる問題もありました。写真と旅行は私た ちにスクラップブッキングをもたらしてくれました。お店をはじめてからの、この3年間、バックシートでパックしなければならない、箱、箱、箱・・に囲まれ ていました。中にこもって、動かず、エンドレスに作業し続けていました。一方では私たちは、このジャーニーのすべての部分が大好きでした。（特にイベン ト、クロップ、クラスは大好き！）外に出て、動き始める時なのです。最後の年は私たちにそれを教えてくれました。

Why this decision? Just indulge us for a little while as we explain…We have loved our little STP store, but there are lifestyle issues which have prompted us to make the decision to focus our business and talents in other directions. Photography and travel brought us to scrapbooking. These 3 years since opening the store they’ve taken somewhat of a back seat while boxes and boxes and boxes had to be packed. We’ve stayed inside, we haven’t moved, we’ve worked endlessly. While we’ve loved every part of this journey (especially the events, crops and classes!) it’s time to get out and move…and in some ways the last year has taught us that.

個人的なことなので、いまま でブログに綴ったり、誰かに話したことはありませんでしたが、私たちの大切なお客様や、今までサポートしてくださった皆さんには、どこからはじまったのか をちゃんとお伝えしておきたいと思いここに記しています。昨年Traceに健康上の不安が見つかりました。そんなにひどく悪いわけではありませんが、その ことに気付き、ライフスタイルと健康を抜本的に見直す時であると認識するのには十分でした。多くの人がそうであるように、彼女も体重を落とそうとはしてい ました。そして何をすべきで何をすべきではないのかもよくわかっていました。彼女はツールは全部持っていたし、知識もありました。でも、昨年の5月までは “クリック”（スイッチが入る・・というか、ピンと来て認識するとか・・そんなイメージです）されませんでした。今日までに彼女はほぼ50キロもの体重を 落とし、素晴らしい励みになっています。私たちは彼女のことを本当にすごい！・・と誇りに思っています。すんなりいったわけではありません。無茶なダイ エットをしたわけではありません。ただ、体に良い食べ物を食べ、沢山の運動をし、カロリーを摂り、カロリーを消費しただけなのです。決意と勇気。そしてや り通す意思。ライフスタイルは全く変わりました。そしてそれは新たな機会をもたらしました。ゴールは重要であり、無限であるということの理解。制限のない エネルギー。今は誰も彼女についていくことができません。意識することなく、Traceは人生をめいっぱい生きることを、彼女の周りにいる人々に教えたの です。（彼女はこのことについて本を書かなくちゃ・・スクラップブックは始まっています・・・写真の前後に！）

We have never blogged or talked about it because it’s been somewhat personal, but we feel it’s important we let our lovely customers and supporters know and understand where we are coming from. Trace had a little health scare at the beginning of last year, nothing too bad but enough to wake up and realize it was time to embark on a drastic lifestyle and health change. She has struggled with weight, as do many of us, all her life, even knowing what she should and shouldn’t do. She had all the tools and knowledge but nothing “clicked” until last May.  To date she has lost almost 50kgs and has become such an inspiration. We are all so very proud of her. There were no quick fixes. No crazy diets. Just good food, lots of exercise, calories in, calories out. Determination and courage. And sticking to it. A compete lifestyle change. And with that have come new opportunities, the understanding that goals are vital and boundless, limitless energy. We can’t keep up with her now! Without even knowing it Trace has taught those around her so much about living life to the fullest. (She just has to write a book about this…the before and after scrapbook has started...)

続 いて5月には私たちのチーム“The Soundtracks” の4人は Oxfam Trailwalker Japanに参加し、小田原から山中湖までの100 kmを48時間以内（私たちの目標は36時間！）に歩きます。もし完走ならぬ完歩できたら、きっと誰にもできるはず。（メンバーの中の一人、Nessは盲目なので す！）これはチャリティであり、貧困から立ち上がろうとする人々のために、世界中の貧困に苦しむ地域の人々のために、寄付を募っているのです。成長しつつ あるTrailwalkerについてもっと知りたい方は、Oxfam Japanにお尋ねください。又は、わたしたちのTrailwalkerのブログ "The Soundtracks 09"をご覧いただくか、Soundtracks Justgiving Site、もしくはOxfam Japanに直接、ご寄付ください。100円でもいいのです！私たちの目標が達成できるよう、少しでもご協力ください。現在のところ半分以上の達成率！私たちがわずかでも貢献する番なの です。私たちの体と心が動き、ビジネスの才能も発展していくのです。

Subsequently in May our team of 4 “The Soundtracks” will enter Oxfam Trailwalker Japan and walk 100km from Odawara to Yamanaka-ko within 48 hours (our goal is 36!). If we can do it, anyone can (and one of our members, Ness, is blind!).  It’s all for charity, as we raise money to overcome poverty and injustice for those less fortunate than ourselves in some of the poorest communities in the world. As many of you may know we have operated a very successful Language school, Off the Planet, for the last 10 years, which is how the STP shop developed. Students, mums, friends, clients would wait in our waiting room, surrounded by our scrapbooks and always ask “What’s this? What’s scrapbooking? How can I do it? Where can I get the goods?”…it just snowballed and snowballed…We have a responsibility to our school and we love the scrapbooking so much so we have now decided to fuse the two and expand! Along with our regular English classes we are now implementing short LIFESTYLE ENGLISH courses which explore English through all kinds of skills; photography, scrapbooking, craft, health & fitness, dining, wine appreciation & gastronomy, traveling, movies, literature, news & much more. 2 skills for the price of one! それから別のニュースです。Traceは彼女のママの様子を見に行くため、その他色々のため、春休みに家に帰っていました。 彼女にはまたまたびっくりさせられました。先週Hervey Bayで開催された2009 Pier to Pub Ocean Swim Classicでの結果は本当に驚きモノ（彼女の年齢のグループではなんと3位！1.6km を32分のタイムで泳ぎました）素晴らしい！ Woo Hoo!魚と一緒に泳ぐのって気持ちいい。家族と一緒にね。

In other news, Trace had a brief return HOME for Spring Break to check up on her mum and other running around…She amazed us all with her 2009 Pier to Pub Ocean Swim Classic last week at Hervey Bay. (3rd in her age group! 1.6km done in 32 mins) FABULOUS! Woo Hoo! Swam with the fishes had loved being with family.

Deeは日本でふらふら。そして春の大掃除!!! しましたよ～Traceは何も見つけられません。（・・本当に見つからないようです。あれはどこにしまった?これはどこにいっちゃったの？・・と毎朝大変みたい・・・by Harumi) 全部なくなっちゃった。エクセサイズバイク/またの名を帽子掛け・・も処分しちゃいました。お掃除、お掃除、お掃除・・少しはスペースができました。ほ～っ。それから私はクッションカバーやのれん、掛ける布などなど色んなものを作りました。（クッションカバーがまた超かわいいんです！スクラップみたいなの！・・・by Harumi) アパートの周りにあるものの画像を少し載せておきますね。それから今現在私たちをインスパイアーするもの・・・

Dee hung out in Japan and did a MASSIVE SPRING CLEAN!!! Now Trace can’t find anything, It’s all GONE. Bye bye exercise bike/hatstand. Clean, clean, clean. A little more space. Oh, and I made cushion covers, a noren, throws and more. Here are a few images hanging around the aparto and inspiring us right now…

Traceが戻ってきて、私たちは大切な友人であるMeganのBABY SHOWER（ベイビーシャワー）の準備に取り掛かりました！ベイビーシャワーを皆さんがご存じかどうかわかりませんが、周りの人に聞いてみたら、日本にはベイビーシャワーの習慣はないと聞きました。でもオーストラリアでは、出産を控えた友人によくサプライズパーティをしてプレゼントシャワーをします。そして幸運を願い、赤ちゃんが生まれてくる前にゲームをしたりして楽しみます。彼女をスペシャルな気分にするのって楽しい！MeganとMarkの初めての赤ちゃんなのだから、張り切っちゃいました！もちろんカップケーキも用意しました。だってNotting Hillでパーティーを開いたんですから。ブルーとピンクの風船で飾り、赤ちゃんのよだれかけ、Meganの小さいころの写真（Meganのママ MrsCollins、クラシックな写真を用意してくださりありがとうございます・・・Meganはとても喜んでいましたよ！）それから写真ボードを作り、とってもかわいいパーティのお楽しみ；赤ちゃんの写真のフレーム、キスと小さなおむつをした哺乳瓶・・なかにはキャンディーをいっぱい詰めて・・・本当にかわいい～。 Meganクイズもしました。有名なbaby board、ピクショナリー－とても困っちゃいました－それから、Harumiがその日のスターでした。だってみんながおしゃぶりするために、ミニおっぱいキャンディを箱で用意してくれたんですから。（ちょっと恥ずかしいネーミングで誤解を招きそうですが、おしゃぶりがたの飴です・・おっぱい型ではありません・・コラ！誰ですか?変な想像しちゃってるのは・・・by Harumi)・・・最高！本当に素敵な日本のオミヤゲ。それからパーティープランのもう一人のパートナーのNarelleは赤ちゃんが将来どんな感じになるかを考えて・・・やってみました（下の画像をご覧ください）・・変で、おかしくて、彼らのラブリーなLADYBOYチャイルドに大笑い！・・・素敵。イベントプランナーになるべきだったかな・・。

Then Trace returned and we threw ourselves into planning for the BABY SHOWER to end all BABY SHOWERS for our wonderful friend Megan! Not sure if you are all familiar with Baby Showers as from asking around here they are not a Japanese custom. But in Australia certainly, we often have a surprise party when a good friend is expecting a baby and shower her with presents, good wishes, fun and games before the baby is born. Love to make her feel special! So as this was Megan and Mark’s first baby we went all out! Of course there were cupcakes involved as we used Notting Hill as our venue. Decorated with blue and pink balloons, baby bibs, Meegy’s baby pics (thank you so much to Megan’s mum Mrs Collins for providing so many classics…Megan was THRILLED). Then we made a photo board, the cutest party favors; baby pic frames, kisses and baby bottles with little nappies filled with all kinds of candy…so pretty. We had Megan quiz, a famous baby board, Pictionary – so embarrassing – and Harumi was the total STAR of the day acquiring a whole box of MINI-OPAI candy for us all to suck on…hilarious and such a wonderful, truly Japanese souvenir. Then Narelle, our partner in party-planning crime, wondered what the baby may look like sometime in the future…she came up with this (see below)…it’s a morph and it’s horrendous and we haven’t stopped laughing at their lovely LADYBOY child…so proud. We might just have to become event planners…

それから、イースターでしたね。Nessとオーストラリアから来日している彼女のママのために、日光に出かけました。

Then it was EASTER and a little road trip to Nikko for Ness and her mum visiting from Australia.

さて、チョコレートを食べすぎちゃいました・・・。でもあと1個うさぎちゃんが残っています。私たちの？いやいや、私たちのじゃない?食べちゃおうかな。欲しい?

Now we have eaten far too much chocolate…but there is one more bunny left. Should we? Shouldn’t we??? We should. Want some?

それからSUSAN BOYLE…人生は本当に信じられないことがおこり、希望と驚きに満ちている。皮肉や冷笑、否定的なことや先入観は瞬く間に置き換えることができる。一瞬で喜びがわきあげる。あなたの夢を見てください。

Chokky Crop Wrap Up!

皆さんこんにちは！ご機嫌いかがですか？日曜日に開催された　STPの楽しい楽しいChokky Cropにお越しいただいた皆さんに、心からのありがとうと、ハグと、sweetなありがとうを !! 本当に素敵な時間を過ごせました。今でも、沢山のsweetと、皆さんの笑顔と笑い声で、満たされた気持でいます。インフルエンザや花粉症・・などなどのため、残念ながらご参加いただけなかった方には、また次回のcropで、きっとすぐに是非お目にかかりたいと思います！4月の後半か5月の初めころに、Charity Crop をやりたいな～と思っています。詳細が決まり次第、お知らせいたします。sweetでyummyな日曜日の楽しいハイライトをご覧くださいね。

Hi friends! Hope everyone is super good. Big thanks, hugs and sweet thanks to everyone who came to the overindulgent STP Chokky Crop on Sunday. Had such a lovely time. Still full from all the sweets and smiles and laughs. Missed those so much, who couldn’t come due to the flu, hay fever etc…We hope to see you all very soon at the next crop. Tentatively planning a Charity Crop sometime towards the end of April/early May, will keep you all updated as we fix the details. Here are some of our sweet, yummy highlights from Sunday’s shenanigans.

部屋(とってもキュートで美味しそう。リトルライブラリー、スタンピングとアイテムのステーション、沢山のサンプルやSTPミニショップ。それにChokky Quiz もしましたね！勝者にはチョコレートの消しゴムがあたりました・・ハハハ・・ゴメンネ。でもそのあと、全員にボックスの中からプレゼントを選んでもらいましたっ。）

The Room (looking oh, so cute and yummy. Little library, stamping and supply station, lots of samples and the STP mini-shop. And yes, there was a Chokky Quiz – and the winners won Chocolate erasers…so sorry. Then to make up for that everyone had a lucky dip in the pressie box.)

ミニプロジェクト（作るのがとっても楽しい、2つのミニプロジェクトをつくりました。１つめはsweetなイメージでレシピカードを、そして2つめはとっても機能的で面白いドアハンガー/Do Not Disturbの印。皆さん本当にクリエイティブで、アートしてました。皆さん自身の方法で、お好きに作っていらっしゃったのがとっても素敵でした。色んなヴァージョンを見るのが楽しかったです！）

The Mini-Projects (had lots of creative fun making 2 little projects, 1st one a sweet inspired Recipe Card and the 2nd a very functional, highly altered Door Hanger/Do Not Disturb Sign. Everyone was so creative and artistic, you all just went for it and did your own thing. Loved seeing all your versions!)

 

The Secret Swap（ohhh、楽しんで頂けましたか?沢山のSecret Sweet Namesがありました・・・Peach Pie, Angel Pie, U-After 8, Milka, Grandmother など・・そしてヒットしたのが Little Miss Muffin。そうそう、それからSTPのクル―はGo-DEE-VA, Jellybean Queen, Cupcake Animal , Candy Girlでした。Breakfast Club のキャストみたいにちょっとわけわかんなくなってましたが。swapは自分の相手に500円のギフトを作って交換するものです。それぞれの相手に事前にいくつかの質問をしていたので、その答えに沿ったギフトを用意するのです。ギフトは (1)何かsweetなもの(2)何かスクラップブックしたもの (3)sweetなメッセージを入れていただくようにお願いしました。皆さんとっても素敵なものを用意してくださいました。この楽しいswapにご参加いただきありがとうございました! 皆さんのインスピレーションと、創造性を感じて、お互いにつながれたことを嬉しく思います。swapの中に本当に様々なアイデアが一杯詰め込まれていました。Super Sweet thanks with a cherry on top!)

The Secret Swap (ohhh, wasn’t this fun? So many fabulous Secret Sweet Names…Peach Pie, Angel Pie, U-After 8, Milka, Grandmother and one of our favs Little Miss Muffin, to name a few. Oh, and the STP crew consisted of, course, Go-DEE-VA, Jellybean Queen, Cupcake Animal & Candy Girl - kind of like a  dysfunctional Breakfast Club cast. The swap consisted of all the participants filling in a little survey, then we randomly mixed everyone up and each swapper received another swappers survey and had to create a 500yen gift based on the answers. The gifts had to include (1)something sweet, (2)something scrapbooked and (3)a sweet message. Everyone did such a great job. Thanks so much for joining in the fun, connecting with each other and for all your inspiration and creativity. You all put so much thought into your swaps. Super Sweet thanks with a cherry on top!)

Friends & そしてフィニッシュ(もちろんSTPのイベントにプレゼント無なんて考えられませんよね。それにグループフォトもなくっちゃね！さらに沢山のハグと、空中アクション！あんなにたくさん食べなければもっと高くジャンプできたんですけどね・・・）

Friends & the Finish (of course it wouldn’t be an STP event without lots of lovely goodie bags to go, a group pic, lots of hugs and of course some airborne action. We would have jumped higher if only we hadn’t eaten so much).

hello...12 years...3 days ago...

あら、もう月曜日になっちゃいましたね。ここ数日目まぐるしく日々が過ぎていき・・・これを書いたのは金曜日だったのですが、バタバタしていてすっかりアップし忘れていました。この小さな、いささか、重要なマイルストーンを・・３日前のことです・・これが起こった出来事・・

Oh dear! It's now HELLO MONDAY! Such a whirlwind few days...I wrote these ramblings Friday, then got carried away with the festivities and slightly forgot to post this little, somewhat significant milestone...So think 3 days ago...here's what was happening...

金曜日です！週末です。私たちにとっては Happy Japan Day・・・そう、信じられないけれど、12年前の今日、1997年2月27日に日本にやってきたのです。前日はMoreton Bayでボートに乗ってゴム長靴をキャッチしたりして、午後を過ごし、しっかり日焼けしていました。それなのに、日本についたら寒いこと寒いこと！とても寒くて、すごくナイーブで、そして世界に出たことにとても興奮していました。初めての東京。ほんの１年ほど滞在して、また旅に出るつもりでした―ちがった国でちがった年を過ごすつもりだったのです。でもどうしたわけか、私たちはまだ、ここにいます。１２年前の今晩、初めて行った居酒屋での、長い間忘れられないトラウマがあったとしても、それ以上に夢中になれるものが色々あったのです。（Dee-Traceはこのトラウマ部分には関知してないことをはっきりさせておきます。彼女の希望でね…）初居酒屋でえだまめをオーダーした時のこと・・。だって・・ね~誰もそんなこと教えてくれなかったじゃない・・枝豆はさやごと食べるのではなく、中の豆だけを食べるなんて・・。テーブルの端にいた酔っぱらいのサラリーマンが私の馬鹿な行動をみて叫んで、大笑い。・・・あぁ、日本の物語・・シリーズものが書けそうです・・。そう、スタートはイマイチだったし、霧も出て、ひどく寒く、誰かがコンクリートをひたすら塗り続けたかのような、殺風景な景色。でも、間もなく春が来て、溢れる美しいものたちに、私たちは息をのみました。そして今もここにいるのです。もちろん、全てのことが簡単だったわけではありません。沢山のバリヤー、沢山のダメダメ・・。でも日本はあきらめなければ、素晴らしい機会が訪れるところ。進み続ければ、道はいつもそこにある・・。私たちにとっての大切なJAPAN－DAY。今日は少し（べしょべしょの）雪が降っていて、私たちは色んな事を思い出していました。沢山のカラフルな出来事を、人生経験を、旅行を、災難だったことを・・（私が初めて美容院でカラーを頼んだ時のことは、どうぞ、聞かないでくださいね・・・）それから出会った様々なキャラクターの人々。例えば、先週偶然出会った50代の男性。渋谷で、ピンクのホットパンツをはいていたのです―、ほんとうに―彼の薄く、白髪交じりの髪を黄色いボンボンで、横ポニーテールに結わえて・・・こんなこときっと誰もできない・・・きっと、ずっと離れられないんだろうな～と思ったりもします。まだ見ていないものが山程あるし、探検や、間違った食べ方をしているものや、作り方もまちがえちゃってたり・・。初めての日本でのスクラップブックを引っ張り出してみなさんに見せられたらいいのに・・でもね、全部オーストラリアに帰っちゃっています＾＾；棚にきちんとしまわれ、折り紙でカバーされ、私たちの帰りを待っている・・・。スクラップブッキングに感謝。少なくともランダムには、私たちにこの12年間を忘れないでいさせてくれる。私たちがどこにいたのかどこへ行ったのか、そしてヘアスタイルがどんな風で・・・

Hi Friday! Hello weekend. Happy Japan Day for us…Yes, it’s unbelievable but on this very day 12 years ago we arrived in Japan 2/27/1997. Sunburnt to a crisp from an afternoon of boating and catching gumboots on Moreton Bay the Day before. We soon  found ourselves very cold, very naive, very excited to be out in the world. First stop Tokyo. We thought we would stay just one year, then keep traveling – a different year, a different country. But somehow, someway we still find ourselves here. A love affair of sorts despite the enduring trauma 12 years ago tonight when I (Dee – let’s make that very clear as Trace wants no part of this story) ate a WHOLE EDAMAMAE at the very first Izakaya we ever went to. Come on… No-one told me you only ate the bean, not the entire pod…It soon came to my attention when the drunk salary men at the end of the table screamed with laughter at my idiocy…Oh, the Japan stories. We could write a series. So it didn’t start well, fog, frigid air, a stark landscape, like someone had a dipped a brush in concrete and painted and painted and painted forever. But soon Spring came, pockets of beauty took our breath away, and we have stayed. Sure nothing is ever really easy. Lots of barriers, lots of DAME’s (X), but Japan has amazing opportunities if you just never give up. Keep going, there is always a way. So happy Japan day to us. Today, while a little (wet) snows falls outside, we are reminiscing, so many colorful experiences, life lessons, travels, disasters (don’t even ask about the first time I went to the hairdressers here and asked for a color…) and an incredible cast of characters. Like for example just last week the man who crossed our path, in his late 50’s in Shibuya wearing pink hot pants – really - his thinning long, grey hair in a side ponytail secured with a big yellow hair bobble…I mean you just can’t make this stuff up. I think we can never leave. There’s too much yet to see, explore, eat the wrong way and mistakes to make.  Wish we could have dragged out our first Japan scrapbooks to show you all but alas they are all living back in Australia. Tucked neatly on the shelves, all hand covered in origami paper, awaiting our return. Thank goodness then for scrapbooking. It has helped us, at least randomly, remember  these 12 years, where we’ve been, where we’ve gone and hairstyles not to try out again…

So while we decide on where to eat soy beans tonight we realize it’s 1 more week til the Chokky Crop. Getting all organized. チョコレートがまだあちこちに散らばっています。でも、今週はそれを忘れさせてくれるできことが・・皆さんもご存じのScrapbooking DirectoryのScrapper's Blog Tour に私たちのラブリーな友人 RIRUが紹介してくれました～！THANK YOU!!!　CKU-J 1で初めてRIRUに会った時のことは忘れられないよ～！初めはメールで、そのあと出会いました。―彼女が私たちの小さなピンクのブースに最初に訪れてくれた中の一人だったのです。hugして、以前からずっ～と友達だったように感じたのを覚えています。思い返してみると、あの時、私たちはスクラップブッキングbizの中で、どうしていったらいいのだろう・・と、とってもナーバスになっていたのですが、彼女のハッピーな笑顔をみてあっという間に気持ちが楽になったのでした。それは一つの信じられないjourneyで、その時からお互いに進み、成長し、そして自分たちの居場所を見つけていったんだと思います。RIRUのセンス、色やデザインが好きです。もちろん、ブログも日々チェックしています。私たちのことを思ってくれてとっても嬉しいです。素敵！最高！

So still chocolate everywhere, still tempting us hopelessly but we were able to forget it just for a little while this week when we were tagged/introduced on the Scrapper's Blog Tour  over at Scrapbooking Directory by our lovely friend RIRU.Thank you soooooooooo much! We can’t ever forget meeting Riru, all the way back at CKU-J 1. Email friends first, then we met – she was one of the first to visit our little pink booth, we hugged and felt like we had known each other forever.  Looking back, we really had no idea what we were getting into with all the scrapbooking biz, very nervous, and her happy smiling face put us at ease instantly. It’s been one incredible journey and we have all evolved and grown and found our place since then.  Love Riru’s sense of style, color and design and her blog is certainly one that we check on our rounds everyday. We are so touched that you would think of us.  FABULOUS!

You deserve to be introduced. We love your spirit and sense of collaboration for scrapbooking here in Japan. Chocolicious Chaos...

STPではちょっと低姿勢を保っています・・・トリプルCHOCOCIDEがあるんです。そう、少なくともCaramello Koala'sが２つと、たぶんCherry Ripe１つが行方不明・・・Traceはアリバイがあるって言ってるし、私は全然知らないし。調査は続行中です。

We're keeping a low profile here around STP because we think...there's been a triple CHOCOCIDE. Yes, at least 2 Caramello Koala's and possibly 1 Cherry Ripe are missing. Trace says she has an alibi, I'm denying any involvment. Investigations continue.

Project 1: あなたがスクラップしたい写真を何枚か持ってきてください。家族、家、大好きなことなど・・なんていかがですか?その場でクロップしてもいいし、ご自宅に帰られてから加えてもok！それから、スクラップに使いたいような、何かお好きなペーパーやスクラップのものがあれば、是非ご持参くださいね。このプロジェクトのあなたへのヒントは・・・DND

Project 2:あなたこのとってもスウィートな日をキープするために、あなたの大好きなレシピ；スウィート、セイボリー・・なんでもオッケー！料理の本をコピーしてもよし、手書きもよし、タイプしてもよし！なんでもオッケー！！あなたの、そしてあなたの大好きな美味しい何かの写真を入れる場所もあります。繰り返しになりますが、ご自宅で後から加えることもできます。写真は２Lサイズのものがいいと思います。このプロジェクトのあなたへのヒントは・・・Foodie File

For the crop, simply bring all your own projects to work on. As usual we will provide a stamping station, supplies to borrow and a mini-inspiration library. We’re bringing some of our favorite stock from the STP store (cash only, thanks!). As always the crop includes, a light lunch, refreshments & snacks all day, AND very special chokkies…from all over the world (which we are lovingly, hopelessly and dangerously staring at every day, evidence we may have done more than look at them is possibly in the sneak peek above)… And then there’s that MINI-PROJECT. Shhh…Top secret! But we can tell you we have decided on not one but 2 mini-projects!!! Yay!

Project 1: Bring a selection of photos you wish to scrap. Think family, home, favorite activities. They can be cropped or of course added at home. If you have any favorite papers or scraps you would like to use please bring them along. For this project your hint is…DND.

Project 2: In keeping with our super sweet day please bring or think about your favorite recipe; sweet, savory, anything is fine!  Could be a copy from a cook book or hand written, typed up, again anything is ok. There’s also space to include photos, of you and/or your favorite yummy something. Again you can just add them at home if you prefer. Photos up to 2L size will work. For this project your hint is…Foodie File.

I私たちのニュース・・春はどこへ行っちゃったの?戻ってきて～もしくは早く来て！寒い～。月曜日のオスカー（アカデミーショー）は楽しかったですね。偶然にもSTPの日で、忙しくお仕事をしながらHugh Jackmanを同時に見ていました。時に人生/仕事はとてもハードで（ Traceには、彼女が仕事で都内にお出かけしている間に、見ていた・・なんてこと言っちゃだめですよ・・ごめんね。でもナイショ！）とても面白い Kunio Katoと彼の"Domo Arigato, Mr Roboto"スピーチがよかったなあ・・最高。Kunioさんと彼の pencilは私たちがすきでよく見ているJAPAN PROBEでご覧いただけます。毎日チェックしなくちゃ・・。だっていったい日本中のほかのどこに 84-year-old parking technicianに出会えると思いますか?ほんと、スゴイ・・。

In other news, where did spring go? Please come back or come soon. We're cold. Loved the Oscars on Monday. What a coincidence it was STP day, so we just had to work and watch Hugh Jackman at the same time. Sometimes life/work is so hard (just don't tell Trace what we were up to while she was running around Tokyo doing jobs...sorry). And the quote of the night...had to be from that uber funny Kunio Kato and his "Domo Arigato, Mr Roboto" speech. Hilarious. You can find Kunio and his pencil (not his parents as reported in the newspaper) at one of our all-time favorite sites JAPAN PROBE. Have to check it everyday. Where else can we meet the most incredible 84-year-old parking technician - in all of Japan? Really. Amazing.

月曜の夜はFEEDERのコンサートに行ってきました。とってもかっこよかったし、音楽は最高。次のコンサートもあるし・・Air Supply（・・あとちょっとなんだけど時間切れ！また夜に訳したいと思います！ごめんなさい～by Harumi)

Saw the fabulous FEEDER in concert Monday night. Oh, those guys are cool and the sound was awesome. Quite a switch up compared to our next concert going fiasco which may or may not be Air Supply followed by Xanadu the musical (oh, come on, I've still got my white roller skates...you "have to believe we are magic...."

All right better stop, sugar high? No, not us.

Chokky Update...

昨日の STP kitデイには*lovely*なリスポンスをありがとうございました。とってもハッピーな1日でした・・コンピューターが一時的にダウンして、*sigh*（ため息）, でしたが・・・。でも30分後には復旧しました・・お待ちいただいた皆様には本当に申し訳ありませんでした。そして、皆様のあたたかいサポートにいつも感謝しています。CHOKKY CROPはSOLD OUTとなりました。素敵！素晴らしい1日になりそう・・・
